Bronyx level 3 armor plates are the lightest plates in the Bronyx line of rigid armor inserts. According to the test results, these armor plates can stand up to 7H6 (5.45x39 PS ball) and 57-H-231 (7.62x39 PS ball) rounds, along with various types of fragmentation, shrapnel, and ricochets.
Level 3 armor plates are available in three sizes: M (250x300 mm), L (260x330 mm), and XL (275x350 mm)
Armor element material: UHMWPE (ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene) 100 g/m²
The thickness of the armor plate is 23-24 mm.
Standardized shape of the Shooter's Cut plate (i.e. with beveled corners) and comfortable anatomical bending in 2 planes
The bending in two planes (3d multi curved technology) improves user comfort during daily wear, owing to it closely conforming to the shape of the chest, thereby providing a maximum secure fit on the body and even weight distribution.
Protection class: Level 3 as per DSTU 8782:2018
The armor plate has been tested in a certified laboratory (withstands 3 hits of 5.45x39 mm PS ball and 7.62x39 mm PS ball rounds from 10 meters). A copy of the test report can be provided with the plates upon request.
All Bronyx armor plates are manufactured at our own production facilities in Ukraine
L — dimensions: 260x330 mm, weight: 1.58 kg, chestsize: 111-118 cm. These are enlarged plates that fit enlarged plate carriers of L/XL sizes; we recommend that you carefully check the size of your carrier's plate pouch.
Please note that the larger plates (L and XL) have the same composition as the smaller ones (M) and have the same ballistic properties; the greater weight of the L and XL sizes is only an indicator of the larger area of the armor element itself.
Important! If your carrier/vest does not have a damper pad between the chest and the armor plate, we recommend using a damper that is inserted behind the plate. This helps reduce the armor's back-spalling deformation that occurs when hit by objects with high kinetic energy.
